    Licensed physical therapist needed for busy outpatient orthopedic private practice in Missoula, MT.  Great Divide Physical Therapy specializes in complex orthopedic cases including back and neck pain, headaches, scar tissue, and abdominal adhesions.  GDPT has been voted as one of the top physical therapy offices in Missoula the last 4 years.  GDPT is looking to find a full-time physical therapist with at least 2 years of experience, additional manual therapy training such as NAIOMT or Mulligan, and a strong background in orthopedics.  Visceral manipulation training, and ASTYM or Graston training is beneficial but not required.  Benefits include IRA with matching, quarterly profit sharing, paid holidays and vacation time, continuing education and APTA membership after probationary period, and a 4 day work week.  Wage is dependent on experience and qualifications.     Staff Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics Rebound Physical Therapy is searching for a full time Staff Physical Therapist to work in one of its outpatient Orthopedic clinics in the Bend - Central Oregon area. Our staff therapists may eventually have the opportunity to transition into a lead therapist or clinical management roles.

     Rebound Physical Therapy is a well-respected, progressive therapist-owned practice with ten clinics located throughout Central Oregon. Our practice specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine and spine care, and we are official PT providers for the US Ski and Snowboard Team.      Candidates should meet the following requirements:

     Oregon PT licensed or immediately eligible for Oregon licensure.

    Excellent outpatient orthopedic experience, plus a willingness to learn.

    Must be comfortable treating a caseload consisting of post-operative, sports med, and spine conditions.

    Exceptional manual therapy skills.

    New grads may be considered, but 2-5-plus years of outpatient ortho experience is preferred.

    Experience and enthusiasm working with a diverse patient population and treating a full range of ages and diagnoses.

    Enjoys being part of a progressive therapy practice.

    Has a desire to maintain positive relationships with our medical referral resources and community.

    Job Description:

    Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.  Administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.  Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.  The staff therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (RCNA, PTA, PTLA, etc.).  The staff therapist participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.  Provides input in formulating budget, assists in evaluating department performance versus budget controls and takes appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines.  Ensures that patient changes are accurate and entered on a timely basis.  Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.  Will supervise students in the initial statement of responsibilities.

    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    Responsible for direction of the Physical Therapy Department certified staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides and Restorative CNAs.
    Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect, recommends change to physician as needed.
    Ability to perform an appropriate assessment on all patients as related to the therapy requested and provided and reassessments as per policy. This includes neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric patients and the general patient population.
    Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation; makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
    Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
    Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate.
    Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy modalities.
    Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families. 
    Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Maintains department cleanliness and safety.
    Interacts professionally with patient/family and involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
    Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff and administrative team.
    Coordinates and directs patient care to ensure patients’ needs are met and hospital policy is followed.
    Maintains records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department.
    Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
    Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
    Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
    Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.
    Consults other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities.
    Documentation meets current standards and policies.
    Assists with orientation and inservice training for certified department staff members, participates in guidance and educational programs.
    Provides evaluation of certified staff including interviewing, hiring, evaluating and termination
    Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of patient and clinical condition.


    Current State Physical Therapy Licensure, graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy.

    Temporary licensure as governed as governed by the State Practice Act.

    Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy preferred.

    Current BLS certification.
